“Doctor?” Hermione asked, hesitantly.

“It’s me,” he replied with a small smirk. He knew she wouldn’t recognize his face. “I told you I would come back. And I have.”

“I know it’s you, but you aren’t the Doctor I knew.” she half whispered, afraid her imagination was getting the better of her.

“I know you’ve gone through a lot…”

“Yes. I have.”

“Do you still want to come with me?”

She hesitated. “Why wouldn’t you let me go, all those years ago? You said I was too young, but that wasn’t the reason why.”

“You had big, important things to do. You would have never met Harry or Ron, and Voldemort would have defeated Harry if it wasn’t for you.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“An eleven year old girl doesn’t need her ego blown up like that… Besides, it’s the courage you had that made you the person that you are.”

She took a deep breath. “Let’s go.”

The wooshing sound interrupted her breakfast. Kenzi glanced around nervously. 

“Crap!” Last time she’d heard that noise she and Bo had almost died at the hands of some crazy guy with a weird box thing and she wasn’t about to get caught up with him again. She got up cautiously, hoping it was just her ears, but in the corner that same strange blue box was starting to appear. 

“Bo!” She yelled, eyes wide.

The door opened and that same crazy man from before popped his head out, that same goofy smile plastered to his face. “Kenzi! Remember me?!”
